DOLLARS FOR DOERS

Want to see if your volunteer work can make a larger impact on an organization? Then ask your employer if they support the nationwide Dollars for Doers program!

The purpose of the Dollars for Doers program is to encourage employees to volunteer for their favorite qualifying organization and have the benefiting organization receive a grant on behalf of the employee. Some corporations even accept applications from family members and retirees.
Many private companies value employee time and understand the importance of issues affecting their communities, and a significant number of companies already offer Dollars for Doers. In fact, approximately 60 percent of mid- and large- size businesses maintain the program, so there is a strong possibility that your employer offers it. All you need to do is inquire and if applicable, apply.

Dollars for Doers is a mutually beneficial program between the private and non-profit sectors in order to encourage volunteerism and help build strong communities.
