Dozens of Staff and Volunteers Gather for Training, Fun and Food for the Whole Family

On Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., the National Capital Area Chapter Emergency & International Services and Education and Training departments hosted a semi-annual Family Picnic at Chapter Headquarters. Staff and volunteers who needed to refresh their certifications could take skills tests to remain current. Also, there were full briefings on the RDCC (Regional Disaster Coordination Center) as well as on the full array of state-of-the-art disaster response equipment and vehicles. There was food and fun for the entire family as well.
