On Friday, April 3, 2009, Linda Mathes, CEO of the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area, delievered testimony before the House Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, chaired by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC). Administrators from FEMA, Washington Hospital Center and the Red Cross were queried by the committee about disaster preparedness and response capacity in the National Capital Region.
