The 8th Annual American Red Cross in the National Capital Region Invitational Golf Tournament took place June 13th at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, VA. The tournament consisted of 124 players representing over 25 different companies. The event began with opening remarks from the chairman of the tournament, Greg Baroni, CEO, Attain, LLC. Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen spoke next, welcoming the participants and giving a special thank you to the war veterans that joined the tournament from Walter Reed. The shot gun start kicked off the event at 10 AM, and the golfers played 18 holes until around 4 PM. At the closing ceremony, chairman Baroni thanked all the players and announced the day’s winners. Linda C. Mathes, CEO of the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region, followed Baroni in thanking the participants. Bruce Allen then donated a signed London Fletcher jersey to the live auction, which began after his speech. After the live auction ended and the winners from the silent auction were announced, the event condensed. Thank you to all the wonderful paid and volunteer staff who helped make this event a success!
