A night filled with glamour, excitement and fun proved to be a gold statuette success for the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region.

“Joe Carden, chair of Red Cross'  Oscar Night®DC event and VP of Homeland Security & Defense Business Council, did a fantastic job, said Linda Mathes, CEO.of the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region.

“He engaged his volunteer committee, corporate sponsors and over 400 people from the community to celebrate great talent and great movies while supporting services for the people of this community at the same time.  The setting was spectacular, the food was wonderful, and people of from throughout the region enjoyed being a part of this unique event. Many participants already have asked to be a part of the event next year. The real winners of the evening are the people of our community who will receive essential Red Cross services as a result of the support generated."
