Linda Mathes and Suresh Shenoy open the annual meeting American Red Cross President Gail McGovern celebrated “the power of teamwork to get things done” at the annual meeting of the National Capital Region. “When I started this job nearly two years ago, I began traveling around the country to meet our many volunteers and employees. I knew then that the Red Cross could do anything once it started working as a team. That’s because I’ve never met a group of people with such enthusiasm and passion for what they do. Our chapters – and our volunteers in particular – are at the heart of the Red Cross,” she said. WUSA9 ANCHOR Andrea Roane emceed the meeting. Ms. Roane recently interviewed President McGovern on Channel 9. Click here: WUSA9.com | Washington, DC | Red Cross President Takes On Her Own Personal Fight Against Cancer |
