President Gail McGovern Discusses Her Vision for the Red Cross, Importance of Partnerships at ARC NCA Foundation Partners Luncheon
American Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern was the featured speaker at the annual Foundations Lunch hosted
by the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area. The event, held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Maggiano's Little Italy in Chevy Chase, Md., was an

between The Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington and Deloitte. The full strategic plan for this report will be release on Oct. 23.

What If Your Child Needed Blood and There Wasn't Any?
The Red Cross is Critically Low on Blood. Please Help Now! Our goal is to have at least a five-
to seven-day supply of blood available at all times, and yet we have less than one day's supply
of almost any blood type. Please help make sure it's there when it's
needed. Call 1-800-Give-Life to make an appointment today.

were for a disaster. As a result, Cathy researched through the Red Cross and other resources and made sure that the next time something
happens, she and her family would be as prepared as they can be.
